42 Chain
Public Infrastructure for Sovereign Execution
42 Chain is a public blockchain designed as infrastructure for applications and organizations that require their own execution environment, deterministic finality, and native connectivity with other networks.
About 42 Chain
42 Chain is a public infrastructure blockchain. It provides a sovereign execution environment with deterministic finality and native connectivity to other networks.
It is intended for developers who deploy and operate applications with familiar tools, and for organizations that require an execution environment whose validator set and governance remain under their own control.
Capabilities
- Full compatibility with the Ethereum ecosystem. Solidity contracts, standard wallets, and common development frameworks work without modification.
- Single-block finality. Transactions reach finality in approximately one to two seconds, with no reorganizations.
- Native inter-blockchain communication. Assets and data can move between chains through the IBC protocol as a first-class feature.
- Access to system-level functionality from smart contracts through precompiles.
Technology
42 Chain is built on the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT consensus. This foundation supplies the modular architecture and the interoperability layer that support the network’s execution environment and cross-chain capabilities.
The native currency of the network is Improbability (42). It is continuously issued by the protocol to reward validators and sustain the operational costs of the chain as public infrastructure.
Development and Governance
42 Chain is an open-source initiative. Its software is developed and maintained by contributors who share the goal of providing a sovereign execution environment for applications that require strong privacy and self-custody properties.
Protocol upgrades and operational decisions are made through on-chain governance by a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) composed of the network’s validators. Validators participate in consensus and in the governance process that keeps the chain operational and healthy.
As the validator set grows, the network becomes more resilient and decentralized. Open-source contributors maintain the software, while the DAO governs the chain.
